3d Ultrasound NewsAugust 1-8, 2010 Beautiful pictures this week of babies. Almost all of them have their hands and/or feet near their face (which is very instinctual - and often indicative of the baby's position). Need to get scratch mittens! July 25 to 31, 2010 There's something in the water! So many breech babies lately! July 18 to 24, 2010 Scanned almost all girl babies this week! Two male babies and two where the parents didn't want to know the gender.... the rest are all female. Great to see customers who are returning with their second and third pregnancies (Randi, Melissa, Sarah)! Wishing you all the best. Your babies are beautiful! July 11 to 17, 2010 A baby gives us the "peace" sign! (see image to the left) Starting to scan more girls than boys now. July 4 to 10, 2010 Absolutely Amazing! I've never seen this in my whole career of scanning. A parent, who happens to be a nurse, was not afraid to use a hands-on technique to get their baby to move. Initially the baby was in a transverse (sideways) position with it's legs in front of the face. We could not see any facial features like this. The parent used deep, yet gentle counter-clockwise massage to encourage the baby to go in a head down position, and stretch up it's legs!! After that, we were able to get absolutely amazing 3D photos - furthermore, the mother felt far more comfortable with the baby in this position!! June 29 to July 3, 2010 Shocking news this week! When we were scanning a beautiful baby girl, the family were surprised to find out that it was actually a baby boy! We were also thrilled to scan a baby from a local family for their second pregnancy, meet the baby we scanned for their first pregnancy, and..... meet the little cousin that we also scanned last year! It was a beautiful family affair and a special celebration of new life! June 21 to 28, 2010 The Year of the Boy! Of the babies scanned this week, there were only 6 females in comparison to 15 males! In addition, there were 3 families that wanted gender to remain unknown. |
